1.Faculty and staff who have personal health conditions (meeting the criteria of high risk factors announced by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the Ministry of Health and Welfare (listed below)) and are feasible to maintain the work duty are opened to apply for distance teaching or work from home through electronic application until May 6th.

Age ≥ 60 years old, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, cardiovascular disease (excluding hypertension), chronic lung disease (interstitial lung disease, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary hypertension, tracheal dilatation, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), tuberculosis, chronic liver disease (liver cirrhosis, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, alcoholic liver disease and immune hepatitis), smoking (or ex-smokers), BMI ≥ 30, pregnancy, diseases that affect immune function (HIV infection, congenital immune insufficiency, solid organ or blood stem cell transplantation, use of steroids or other immunosuppressants).

2.The applicant should briefly describe the work duty and applicant’s health status in the application. Direct supervisor should consider the work load of the unit and the applicant’s health status and make a preliminary judgment of approval and work configuration (number of days of work from home in a week). If applicable, the application is submitted to be approved by the first-level supervisor. The applications applied by faculty and staff are submitted to Office of Academic Affairs and Office of Personnel, respectively. The final approval is made by the President.
