1. According to the campus epidemic prevention regulation for the fall semester of the 2022 academic year announced by Ministry of Education:

1.1 For confirmed or rapid-screening positive cases, 7-day home care should be implemented. After the expiration of the period, students who are asymptomatic can attend classes.

1.2 For those who take off their masks for more than 15 minutes with the confirmed cases (and rapid-screening positive cases), the University provides 1 rapid-screening test. Those with negative rapid-screening results can attend classes. If they have symptoms, they should seek medical treatment as soon as possible.

1.3 Self-health monitoring is required for those who wear masks throughout the activities with confirmed cases (and rapid-screening positive cases).

2. In response to the severe special infectious pneumonia epidemic, the University has implemented the following teaching-related measures, but will still make flexible adjustments depending on the development of the epidemic:

2.1. Measures for students to suspend, make up and resume classes:

2.1.1 If students are diagnosed or absent due to epidemic prevention measures, they should directly notify the course instructor and discuss self-learning approach. The period of absence (home care, home isolation or self-management, etc.) is based on the notification from the Health Care Section.

2.1.2 If groups and classes are required to implement self-isolation and self-management due to cluster infection, relevant courses must be suspended. Courses during the suspension period are supplemented at another time after the resumption of classes or by extending the semester.

2.1.3 The supplementary courses of internship courses are adjusted and planned by each department. Clinical internship courses are handled in accordance with the operating principles of the Ministry of Education (please refer to the appendix of "Internship places for students of medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy and medical examination and rehabilitation related departments in response to severe special infections").

2.2 Teaching-related measures for course instructors:

2.2.1 If instructors or students are unable to attend classes in person due to the infection or cooperating with quarantine, the relevant instructors can choose one of the following options:

2.2.1.1 Upload the video and audio files to the EL system (EverCam software or other software can be used on the e-desk in the classroom to record the class).

2.2.1.2 Upload self-learning materials (such as handouts) and other online learning materials to the EL system for students to learn in an asynchronous way.

2.2.1.3 Online conference (such as Microsoft Teams, etc.) is arranged to teach at the agreed time.

2.2.2 When course instructor receives that the student is absent from class due to the diagnosis or due to the epidemic prevention measures, the instructor should discuss self-learning approach with the student and assist in providing teaching materials to study independently. The instructor should give flexible assessment or remedial teaching when the class resumes, without recording the absence.

2.2.3 Instructions on the production of the above-mentioned related teaching materials and software operation have been provided on the webpage of the Center for Instructional Resources. The Center can also provide consulting services according to the individual needs of instructors.
